    What the h--l does this guy do to keep these poor animals so paranoid to keep their nose stuck on the ground. Training in a spade bit or what? This horse is so darn talented, if he didn't look so disturbed this would be so much more inspiring to watch.

    • @ReinerDesigns
      @ReinerDesigns 3 роки тому

      Number one, they’re bred that way. You can look at conformation picks and they’re generally relaxed with their neck down or at least in line with their back. Number two.. Since when is it paranoia to put their head down? If anything it’s trust because they have limited sight there and must trust their rider. This horse was never abused and made more in his life than most people could dream of.

      @@ReinerDesigns Yeah, I get that they are bred nowadays with a that kind of top line and they will carry there neck low naturally - this run and lots of Fappani's style is to have them BEHIND the Perpendicular with their nose - never in my life have I seen a horse run out in the pasture like that - and running at top speeds like that with their nose tucked back like that looks very unnatural and overdone....I understand he is keeping them in frame but, again, I don't like the style as it looks/feels overdone and I would like to know what's in his mouth. My idea of an ideal head carriage and what a horse should look like is Wimpy's Little Step winning the futurity as a 3 year old, for example. No question this Gunner is a rock star. And I am really not trying to knock Fappani - I don't personally know him or how he trains - I just really don't like that style as it looks over controlled for me. i want to see more of the integrity of the horses spirit rather than something very dominated...again I would reference that Wimpy Little Step run to illustrate what I mean.

      Camilla Mikkelsen-Bakken Horses are herd animals, saying they cant run that long is like saying... I don't know, that dogs shouldn't bark. They are built and born to run, and they can jump if they wanna jump. People need to stop thinking that horses are easily broken twigs, these animals are tough!

    This is a work of art and in no way torture!! This horse probably lives a waaay grander life then we do!! The amount of dedication it takes to achieve this is truly remarkable. Anyone saying different clearly is lacking in that department!! Congrats on such an astounding connection to one of the most majestic creatures God has given us!!

    It's not in ANY way tourcher. These horses are bred for this. Sure, we correct their mistakes when they are wrong, but it's not abuse. Please learn your facts before you speak..

    Good run, but not enough to beat shawns ride. Shawns only flaw was his first set of spins. You say his rollbacks were bad but at least he made a complete 180 degree turn before loping off, unlike Andrea. The lead he comes out on does not matter as long as it is changed before then turn. Also Shawn had better builds to his stops. Another plus was Shawn was not as obvious when trying to guide his horse, where Andrea was in his horses mouth more then a few times.

  • @spudth
    @spudth 12 років тому

    you can see in the spin that the horse is lifting his hoof. It was explained to me that a spin is actually a horse loping in a very tight circle. This horse seems to exemplify that idea. Anyone agree or disagree?

    @vikidobe If you had any idea of how hard those horses stop and spin, its natural for them to take a step back or rock back.. and if allowed you get major points off or dqd.. the tapping after a maneuver is to help them to between their legs and at the spot they stopped at.. When you can perform and ride a horse like this then you can judge this.

  • @vikidobe
    @vikidobe 13 років тому

    Rider needs to kick and tap the horse on the neck quite a few times, to get him moving, once he is stopped. Afraid of the bit?
